Can you think of a more perfect location to study all things motorsport than on the doorstep of one of the finest race tracks in the country? It’s exactly what students at Wiltshire College – a close partner of Castle Combe Circuit – are lucky enough to experience on a daily basis thanks to its Castle Combe Campus.
Once again working closely alongside the popular circuit it’s housed in for another year of track activity, the college’s purpose-built, £1.25-million facility (that’s just a stone’s throw from the apex of Camp corner) allows students to work within an industry-standard environment on real race cars that see action on a regular basis – offering unbeatable hands-on experience for those hoping to pursue a career in motorsport.
The 6,500-foot venue boasts several classrooms, six workshops and even engine and machining rooms, with dedicated staff hailing from the world of motorsport offering invaluable advice to create a truly unique environment to learn in.
Continuing to support the circuit’s broad portfolio of events held throughout the year, the college will open its doors during 2018’s array of Action Day events to offer show-goers more information on its courses as well as technical advice to project car owners who could benefit from some of the staff’s wealth of useful knowledge. There’s even the potential for the team to help fit parts like mufflers and silencers onto your track car on the day if you need an expert pair of hands!
Castle Combe Circuit is set to host another season of fan-favourite Action Days throughout 2018, all featuring public track time sessions, drifting displays and plenty of static club displays.
